An Ambassador is a young woman aged 16+ who may have been affected by the care system directly or who has a relationship with someone who has. Ambassadors are graduates of our Ambassador and Leadership programme. Passionate about empowering other women to be the best they can be and have worked with us to create a community to support girls and women journeying through their challenges .
Sister System recognises that these young women are the experts and we are passionate about providing support and a platform for their voices to be heard.
We want to hear from young women who have had experiences or interventions from Social care, CAMHS,Y.O.T, CHYP's and the Police. Those who are survivors of abuse, have grappled with mental wellbeing and have struggled with education, employment and career choices. Those who have an opinion and passion about girls and young woman's life chances.
Ambassadors are the voice of the organisation. Involved in every aspect of our work , from co facilitation of workshops, facilitating networking events to providing 1-1 mentoring. In salute to the empowerment model Sister System provides paid roles for both Big Sisters and Ambassadors providing services for the organisation.
